Peninsula Pioneer Revisited Errata
Inevitably some errors creep in during the preparation of a book, and despite all attempts to eliminate them, some slip through. There are a few corrections which should be noted for the sake of accuracy. The page numbers in Peninsula Pioneer Revisited are shown.
- Page 41: The photo of Fageol 109 should be credited to Reg Lienert, Richard Wood Collection, National Railway Museum Archives.
- Page 69: The photo of T241 at the Cresco works was taken in 1967 or 1968 by Murray Wright.
- Page 90: The second tank capacity for Minnipa should read 302,900 gallons (not 302,000).
- Page 155: The caption to the lower photo should refer to Accident Van 8, not Accident Van 11.
- Page 273: Despite the illusion of a different body width between NT69 and NT74 in the photo, NT69 was not one of the first three NTs built.
- Page 277: NJ5 was not the first AN repaint at Port Lincoln, but arrived from Port Augusta workshops in those colours.
- Page 280: In Table 18.17, NJ2 and NJ5 arrived in Port Lincoln painted AN green with grey roof. The first loco repainted in AN green by the Port Lincoln workshops was 850 in January 1983.
In the same table, NT69 and NT73 arrived at Port Lincoln in CR maroon. NT69 was lettered "ANR", NT73 was unlettered. Both were repainted in AN green with grey roof, NT69 by Dec 1985 and NT73 in Feb 1986.
- Page 281: The caption to the photo of NC2 should refer to Hermitage Park, not Homestead Park.
- Page 327: The caption to the photos of the AN weed spray train should say it was created in April 1983, not 1993.
- Page 331: Weed spray cart 5969 was converted from flat wagon XF5969 by April 1961, not in 1972.
