Built as ballast hoppers. HN11002, 11004, 11007, 11009-11010 and 11012 to Port Lincoln Sep 1964. Initial load capacity 25 tons. Equipped with tarpaulin supports and side gangways for dual use as ballast or grain hoppers at Port Lincoln, late 1960s. Fitted with roller bearing bogies ex OMN wagons 1970, auto couplers ex ON wagons 1973-74, capacity increased to 34 tons.

HN11001, 11003, 11005, 11006, 11008 and 11011 to Port Lincoln Jun-Aug 1984 (these had spent time on standard gauge prior to transfer).

Fitted with removable tops with rolltop hatches 1999-2000. One written off c.2002. Ten modified for iron ore traffic 2003, to Whyalla as HNK1-10; remaining HN to Whyalla as spare parts. Two HNKs ex Whyalla to Geraldton (W.A.) Jan 2004 as AHKF 11011, 11012.
