New to Port Lincoln, delivered Aug-Oct 1968. Load 25 tons when new. Fitted with roller bearing bogies ex OMN wagons 1970, auto couplers ex ON wagons 1973-74, capacity increased to 34 tons. Equipped with tarpaulin supports and side gangways for dual use as ballast or grain hoppers. HBN12-17 to Tasmania Apr 1984 as QN class, later HQ class. HBN1-11 fitted with removable tops with rolltop hatches 1999-2000. HBN1-11 scrapped 2018.
