Original group: YY5805-5904 ordered 1921 as broad gauge Y wagons, but delivered new to Port Lincoln as narrow gauge YY. Others built as broad gauge YY class, converted to narrow gauge and transferred to Port Lincoln 1926. 20 vehicles converted to YYP pipe wagons by 1946, reverted to YY by 1960. 41 vehicles transferred to Peterborough 1959. Ten rebuilt with new bodies and numbers 1969-70 (see below). All remaining vehicles condemned by May 1985.

1968 group: YY1-20 rebuilt ex broad gauge Y wagons 1968. YY21-45 new bodies on YX and YY (original group) underframes 1969-70 except for YY26, 27 and 32 which were mounted on ex broad gauge Y underframes. All condemned 13May 1981 except YY1 (condemned 15 Apr 1982).
